Affiliate Marketing Easy Or Hard – What do you think?

I don’t know for you but I’m fed up with the Affiliate Marketing Gurus spouting how easy it is to setup a successful affiliate marketing business. Because It’s NOT, its blo… hard!
I know when I started there were so many steps to learn that I felt if I didn’t have a little internet know how I would have given up.
I also found that the programs do not go into sufificient depth for each step in the process of setting up an affiliate marketing business, and then they have the nerve to charge you a phenomenal price!
A beginner can get overwhelmed by FTPs, HTMLs, squeeze pages, domain names, rebranding and so much more.
What do you think?
What have been your experiences in becoming successful in affiliate marketin. Has it been eas? or hard?
